Crash statistics pre and post pedestrian installation
Mr McCallum made this Official Information request to Ministry of Transport
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Mr McCallum to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Mr McCallum
Dear Ministry of Transport,
What are the crash statistics for the two years before and two years after the installation of pedestrian crossings at the intersection of Vine Street and Massey Road in Mangere East in Auckland?
I want total count, and decent detail i.e car on car, vehicles collided when drivers turning from Vine Street failed to give way, minor injuries; car on pedestrian, driver didn't spot pedestrian after turning corner into Vine Street too fast, major injuries/death)
I've requested this information from NZTA, Statistical Analysis, and MoT about fourteen times since January, but I've just been passed between departs and had minimal responses.
Yours faithfully,
Scott McCallum
