Custom and Excise Reform
James Black made this Official Information request to New Zealand Customs Service
The request was refused by New Zealand Customs Service.
From: James Black
Good morning,
I am emailing to request:
- Copies of the submissions provided in response to your recent Discussion Document proposing reform of the Customs and Excise Act 1996; and
- A list of these submissions.
As I am using the website FYI.org.nz, I would be grateful if you would provide these submissions by email (as one or more PDF attachments).
In support of this request, I note that Minister Wagner's recent public statements (see http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/articl...) indicate that the submissions have now all been collated and reviewed, suggesting they can easily be provided by email along with a covering list. Further, the Discussion Document itself (page 9) records an expectation that these submissions may be made publicly available in the future.
In the event there are any complications with fulfilling my request promptly, I would be grateful if you would first consult with me (via email). Finally, I confirm that I am a New Zealand citizen.
Thank you in advance for your prompt determination of my request.
Kind regards,
James Black
