Dear Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children,
Under the Official Information Act 1982, I am requesting information about Oranga Tamariki’s response to methamphetamine-related harm affecting tamariki and whānau in Te Tai Tokerau/Northland.
Specifically, I request:
- Copies of any internal reports, policy documents, or regional planning materials that address the impact of methamphetamine use on child safety, whānau wellbeing, or care and protection concerns in Northland, dated from 1 January 2022 to the present.
- Any information on programmes or services funded or delivered by Oranga Tamariki in Northland that specifically aim to reduce methamphetamine-related harm or support affected children and their families.
- Details of any inter-agency work with NZ Police, Health NZ, Ministry of Education, or local iwi and community organisations addressing methamphetamine harm in the region.
