Thank you for your submission of 20 May 2025 to the Ministry of Business,
Innovation and Employment requesting, under the Official Information Act
1982, regarding Immigration New Zealand's operations in Manukau.

 

We have completed a preliminary assessment of your request and your
request for training programmes and material for each position at
Immigration New Zealand’s Manukau branch is for a very large amount of
information. The Manukau office includes a wide range of roles, including
(but not limited to) Immigration Officers, Verification Officers,
Investigators, and Compliance Officers. Each of these roles has its own
induction and upskilling pathways, and the associated training materials
vary significantly in format, content, and delivery method.

Given the volume and diversity of roles, compiling all training materials
for every position and the volume of material encompassed, this part of
your request is likely to refused in reliance on section 18(f) of the Act
as it would require substantial collation.

This decision has not yet been made, and we would like to consult with you
about narrowing the scope of your request before doing so. For example, is
there a particular area of training you are interested in. Alternatively,
would a list or summary of training programmes be suitable?

Can you please respond by Monday 16 June and confirm. If we do not receive
a response by this date we will proceed without rescoping.
