Thank you for your email of 20 May 2025 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment
(MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing:
I hereby request the fol owing information regarding Immigration New Zealand's operations
in Manukau:
-The latest organisation chart for Immigration New Zealand in Manukau
-Job description and requirements for each job position at Immigration New Zealand in
Manukau
-Training programme and material for each job position at Immigration New Zealand in
Manukau
-Internal checklists used for assessing different types of visa applications
-Character waiver & medical waiver assessment template used by Immigration New Zealand
-Key performance indicators for each job position at Immigration New Zealand in Manukau
-Pay range for each job position at Immigration New Zealand in Manukau
On 18 June 2025, we advised that MBIE needed to extend the time available to answer your request
as a large quantity of information was in scope of your request and meeting the original time limit
would unreasonably interfere with our operations.
MBIE has assessed and decided to grant your request and wil provide you the requested information.
However, it wil take us some time to process. We wil send you the information as soon as it is ready
and without undue delay.
Please note that some information wil be withheld under the fol owing sections of the Act:
- 6(a), as information would be likely to prejudice the security or defence of New Zealand or
the international relations of the Government of New Zealand.
- 6(c), as making this information available would be likely to prejudice the maintenance of
the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a
fair trial.
- 18(e), as the information requested does not exist.
- 18(f), because the information requested cannot be made available without substantial
collation or research.
