Papers surrounding Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Register) Bill
Joshua Grainger made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
The request was partially successful.
From: Joshua Grainger
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
I would like to request under the Official Information Act some information relating to the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Register) Bill, which I understand is part of the work being performed by the Vulnerable Children’s Board. I would like to request:
* any advice documents relating to the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Register) Bill, including briefs, Cabinet Papers, Cabinet Minutes, regulatory impact statements, or other documents.
Please feel free to get in touch if you need any clarification.
I hope to use the information gained from this Official Information Act request to inform a submission on the Bill when it goes before Select Committee. I imagine this information would help me in making my submission: for example was the exclusion of those that view and produce child sex abuse material a purposeful decision, or an oversight?
Yours faithfully,
Joshua Grainger
