Dear Erica Stanford,
Hon Erica mam..Below whole description sent through email by my 12 years daughter She sent tons of mails to you including this matter..Coz she is totally stressful with the current situation. Please mam refer this and be kind enough to take fair decision. Thank you.

(Dear Mam,

Mam Erica Stanford the minister of NZ immigration , I've already sent you and few other members of NZ government tons of e-mails with the same request over and over again. Mam ( with respect ) I really do understand if important things in New Zealand can't just change for the sake of a child's dream to come true , but this request is not only for my dream to come true but also for everyone willing to make their dream of visiting this beauty come true too.

So, once more I sue you into changing the rule of not allowing the family members of AEWV work visa holders of skill levels 4&5 who are not in the Greenlist to visit NZ or into giving us another solution or details of how we can visit NZ as many other rules related to NZ Immigration changed as the year 2025 arised.

Yes Mam, I know you're busy with your work and don't have enough time to send me a reply as every single time I've sent you an email all I've received was an automatic reply noting that you'll pay attention on this matter as soon as possible, but unfortunately I got no other reply other than that.

I just determined myself to write to you Mam as I just heard my dad contact my mum at his break as he's working hard in the cold and that he's hungry but has no food as he has to cook by himselves and that he didn't have time to made dinner as he went back to work as soon as he returned to his rented room. I wish if me and my mum could be with him to comfort him and make him yummy food. I cry everyday thinking about how he sacrifices himself to work hard and make my life better. At this age the only thing I can do is to email you telling about my feelings. I must include that, you're decision is our only hope...

I have no idea if you, Mam understand my feelings as I'm little girl waiting to give my dad a very big hug and feel the warmth of a father. I really hope this time you'll give me a solution as a tiny bit of disappointment started growing at the very bottom of my little heart with sadness about the government and immigration of my favourite country from ages, NZ. I hope you Mam won't bring disappointment to me or any of us anytime soon you'll give us a solution before long allowing yourselves to spend a little bit of your valuable time to give me a solution.

I'd also like to wish you and your family
A MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR
with respect.

Yours faithfully,
Desandi )

Kia ora Ruvini,

Thank you for your email of 21 January. Minister Stanford appreciates hearing people’s thoughts and concerns and we acknowledge you have referred to the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).

Please note we have not considered your email of 21 January as a request under the Act and we would be unable to do so in its current form. This is because we do not believe your query is for any official information, as defined at section 2 of the Act, and/or the request has not been made with due particularity as required by section 12 of the Act. It is unfortunately not clear to this office what information you are requesting, or whether it is held by this office or any other department.

It appears that a response to your email would require this office to create information or express an opinion in response, rather than to provide held information. We have considered Ombudsman guidance in responding to your email, which is available at https://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/reso.... You may wish to refer to pages 6 and 42 of the guidance, which appear to describe your email.

If you would like to reframe your email to be more specific in what information you are seeking, we would be happy to consider this as a new request under the Act.

Alternatively, if you would like a response from the Minister expressing an opinion on the matters you have raised this can be arranged, however we would not be required to provide a response within any particular timeframe and responses to ministerial correspondence can take a number of months. This office receives a very high volume of correspondence and responses to each email are not always possible, as noted in the automatically generated emails from our office that you would have received.

As we do not consider your query to be a request made with due particularity (as defined at section 12 of the Act) or to be for official information (as defined at section 2 of the Act) we will not be undertaking any further assessment of your query under the Act. If we were to consider your query as a request under the Act, it would be necessary to refuse your request under section 18(g) of the Act, as we do not believe you have requested any information that is held by this office or any other department. However you are welcome to write back with a new request or correspondence.

Kind regards,

Office of Hon Erica Stanford

Minister of Education
Minister of Immigration
