I am writing to you regarding your request for information below. This
letter is to advise you that the Ministry has received your request,
however requires more time to respond to this request. In accordance with
section 15(1) and 15A of the Official Information Act, the Ministry’s
decision will be with you no later than 21 January 2025.

 

Dear Ministry of Social Development,

 

Please provide the suppliers list as active in the accounting software
list that are set up to receive payments from the MSD.

 

I am seeking the supplier name and NZBN.

 

Additionally please disclose how much of each of these have been paid
during the current FY as actual expenditure.

 

I believe this is a simple report and already available as ordinary
business.

 

The reason for the extension is that the request is for a large quantity
of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably
interfere with the operations of the Ministry.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of

The Ministry has decided to grant your request in part, namely information
regarding the Ministries list of active suppliers and current financial
year expenditure to date.

 

However, it will take some more time to prepare this information for
release. The information will be sent to you by 28 January 2025. We will
respond earlier if we are able to.

 

Please note that some information will be withheld under section 9(2)(a)
of the Act to protect the privacy of individuals. The Ministry has also
decided to refuse your request for the NZBN of suppliers under section
18(g) of the Act as this information is not held by the Ministry and I
have no grounds to believe that the information is either held by or
closely connected to the functions of another department, Minister of the
Crown or organisation.
