Unattainable help
Vince made this Official Information request to Health New Zealand
Health New Zealand did not have the information requested.
From: Vince
Dear Health New Zealand,
When someone presents in the two hard basket.
Doctors acknowledge there is no treatment that they can help with and try to make referrals to specialist
The specialist ultimately decline
This person shows up to emergency department
To be told to go see her GP who can't help...
What does this person do to find help
What are the guidelines
The only solution is for her to apply topical steroid cream as a long-term solution given to her from her general practitioners x7 doctors over 3 years . And after multiple emergency department visits.
Second question
Does New Zealand limit the amount of specialist in the country
Why are you so limited dermatologist with a rather large and overflowing demand
And with Rheumatologist , Immunologist in the public health sector.
Third question
Assisted dying
If someone qualifies for all the eligibilities apart from being terminally ill
Which includes irreversible suffering and no satisfactory relief from symptoms.
What does New Zealand do to support these people with these debilitating symptoms who ultimately just want there symptoms to be at ease legally.... With The result of ending life or living with out the symptoms
As we're wanting the second option but only end of life is What the New Zealand health system is saying to us
But only once they become terminal 😂 they can help... so they have to suffer day to day and just moved under more paper I'm angry I'm fuming we are Soo broken it's dishearten shes only 35 and abandoned by new Zealand is how we feel from her
They say the only other solution is to seek mental health programs
Thy solely refer her back to emergency department and doctors saying her mental health stems from physical limitations due to physical symptoms and reactions
I call this
""""The circle of chronic life""""
Yours faithfully,
Her friend and now legal carer Tyler
