Human rights commission involvement in a file remote claims handles

Peter Duncan made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Peter Duncan to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Peter Duncan

Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,

I would like to know if it is normal practice to have a dyslexic person in remote claims and do you think remote claims is set up for people that have learning disabilities such as this. If not then why is there someone whom has very good standing in the community including justice of the peace as a friend and was actively involved in the community with youth center etc? Now as the human rights commission has to get involved and they are expecting an application to the tribunal be filed , all of this on the back of a fraudulent activity on a medical file intentionally not requesting from dhb correct dates and when the file came that the corporation did not want to see, kept it hidden. Now do you think after all these years this should have been put to bed after payment was made ? I am unsure if said payment for a criminal act was actually enough due to this continuing. Manslaughter is about 8 years, acc for a tiff that they were in the wrong over also the same. Now do we have to file in the human rights tribunal or are you going to ensure Lisa’s human rights are going to be looked after into the future? Why does remote claims have the power to illegally detain people that are in good standing in the community? Why does Donna in greymouth have the right to bribe ? You do this and we will remove? Why has this not already happened as the corporation continues to breach someone’s human rights? Would you prefer to deal with this in the human rights tribunal or out ? The decision is yours Lm Capell recipient

Yours faithfully,
Peter Duncan
