Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
I have a quick question. If one is on an AEWV work visa at skill level 4 or 5, irrespective of pay rate per hour, and whether the application was approved before 23 June 2023 or later. if before the visa expires, and a new job offer is made at either higher skill level 1, 2 or 3 at a current median wage per hour, then could a new AEWV work visa application be approved (up to maximum length of time 5 years)? For example, a supervisor who is after a two year work visa (AEWV) being offered a position at skill level 1,2 or 3, could be eligible to apply for a new AEWV work visa for the rest of the three years (as up to maximum 5 years work visa)?
Much appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Mo
