Wellington City Council did not have the information requested.

From: Chris McCashin

Dear Wellington City Council,

I am writing to request the following information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):

Please provide a breakdown of Wellington City Council's "infrastructure" spending for the financial years 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 (actual and projected), categorized into the following areas:

a) Water supply
b) Wastewater
c) Stormwater
d) Transportation - broken into categories - roads and cycleways to be separated
e) Parks and open spaces
f) Community facilities
g) Any other significant infrastructure categories

For each of the above infrastructure categories, please provide the corresponding revenue obtained from targeted rates for the same financial years.

Can you also provide what is the current amount of money that Wellington City Council is borrowing per day for OPEX and CAPEX for the years 2020 - 2024 broken down into annual borrowing, monthly borrowing and daily borrowing if that makes sense.

If any of the above is not clear please let me know.

Yours faithfully,
Chris

From: Chris McCashin

Dear BUS: Official Information,

This is an unacceptable response
However can you please pass it onto the councilors, council officers, everybody at council that is ruining the city this financial year Wellington City Council has borrowed the equivalent of over $2.9m per day
This has been sourced from the LGFA and is unacceptable, unsustainable and a blight on the city that the CEO, CFO, council and all the people working over there wasting money are not aware of this amount of borrowing and financial arson the council is currently doing to this city.

Yours sincerely,

Chris McCashin
