Correspondence between GNS Science and the Turitea Wind farm Board of Inquiry

I asked for this information when submitting to the Environment Committee - the Fast-track Approvals Bill.

See page 8 for my specific OIA request which to date has been ignored.

I am asking under the Official Information Act for all GNS correspondence with the
“Turitea Board of Inquiry” relating to seismic issues.

The Turitea wind farm was fraudulently approved on the Wellington and Northern Ohariu faults by a member of the public, Shonagh Kenderdine, masquerading as a warrant-bearing Environment Court Judge, however, I am not trying to litigate this as it is widely known in government circles. What I want to know is what if any advice was given privately or publicly to the Board of Inquiry pursuant to GNS Science's mandate to advise on major projects such as Turitea. Did the Board ask GNS Science for guidance at all prior to granting consent for the wind farm?

Please provide all communication on this matter.

Thank you for your prompt and honest reply. I have the highest regard for the work done by GNS Science, in particular, the effort to communicate to the general public the danger posed by the Hikurangi trough to the lower half of the North Island and the now thousands of scenarios this has revealed.

Your answer was no surprise as we suspected all along that GNS had been deliberately excluded from the decision-making process. I submitted on the earthquake hazard to the Turitea wind farm and was ignored, My wife and I in our first submissions asked for an independent study of earthquakes at Turitea. 
No proper seismic survey was done and Beca Carter stated a sub-surface reconnaissance would be done after the consent was granted. None of this data has been made public. Beca Carter is a member of the New Zealand Wind Energy Association and this skewed the outcome.
Once again, thank you, It's now over to others to deal with this fraud.
