Tēnā koe Harvey,
Thank you for your email received 12 August 2024, asking questions in response to the decision letter sent to you on the same day, regarding emergency housing in New Plymouth city.
1. Will the ministry be providing information on the number of people receiving emergency housing in New Plymouth city?
The Ministry's standard reporting uses Territorial Local Authority (TLA), TLA is defined under the Local Government Act 2002 as a city council or district council, the table that is provided in the Appendix for the letter sent to you on 12 August 2024, shows the number of clients in emergency housing, in the New Plymouth District as at month end June 2024.
2. Will the ministry be providing a list of suppliers for emergency housing?
The table in the appendix also shows the list of suppliers in the New Plymouth District as at month end June 2024.
Please let us know if you have any further questions regarding the response to your request.
If you are not satisfied with the decision on your request, you have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman. Information about how to make a complaint is available to http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/ or phone 0800 802 602 .
