Dear Ministry of Justice,
Could you please advise your current processing time frame for each COA type i.e. for Private Investigator, Monitor agent, crowd control and property guard?
Also, provide the current processing time for a new company license for each type i.e for Private Investigator, Monitor agent, crowd control and property guard.
Processing time is a decision being made and the applicant being advise of the outcome.

July 2024, regarding PSPLA application processing timeframes. Your request
is being managed in accordance with the provisions of the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act). Specifically, you requested:

The Ministry does not hold this data to the level of detail you have
requested. This request is therefore refused under section 18(g) of the
Act, as the information is not held by the Ministry.
While we do not hold data to the level of detail you have requested, we
are able to provide average disposal times for all Certificate of
Authority applications and for all Company Licencing applications, which
is the date the application was received to the final outcome date. If
this information would be of use to you, the Ministry invites you to
