UTAS MMI GPA cut off
MMS made this Official Information request to University of Auckland
The request was successful.
From: MMS
Dear University of Auckland,
Could you please list the UTAS MMI cut off optimal gpa for LSEB and SWD for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023?
With this, could you please clarify
- do MAPAS and RRAS first year applicants also get considered under general if their GPA is high enough to be considered amongst the general cohort?
- do applicants who have applied for multiple schemes eg RRAS and LSEB or MAPAS and LSEB or LSEB and SWD get considered under the scheme that has the greater number of seats available, or are they ranked in both schemes and offered a place in whichever they rank higher in?
Yours faithfully,
MMS

Dear requester,
I refer to your request of 8 July 2024. The University’s response follows:
"Could you please list the UTAS MMI cut off optimal gpa for LSEB and SWD
for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023?"
See attached.
“With this, could you please clarify

general if their GPA is high enough to be considered amongst the general
cohort?”
No - an applicant considered under RRAS or MAPAS is only considered under
that category.
“- do applicants who have applied for multiple schemes eg RRAS and LSEB or
MAPAS and LSEB or LSEB and SWD get considered under the scheme that has
the greater number of seats available, or are they ranked in both schemes
and offered a place in whichever they rank higher in?”
An applicant considered under RRAS or MAPAS is only considered under that
category. An applicant being considered under the General category may
also be considered under one of the following
UTAS: SWD, LSEB, or SRB. An applicant cannot apply under multiple UTAS.
Yours sincerely,
Landon Watt
