Dear Department of Corrections,
Under the Official Information Act 1982, I am requesting detailed information on the current governance structure within the 810-bed expansion project of Waikeria Prison. This request is part of a governance audit being conducted.
Specifically, I request the following:
An organisational chart or diagram that illustrates the updated governance structure of the 810-bed expansion project of Waikeria Prison as of 7th July 2024
A detailed list of the current members within this governance structure, including their names, positions, and the departments or organisations they represent.
Information regarding any independent roles or positions within this governance structure, including:
- Names and positions of individuals designated as independent members.
- The criteria or measures in place to ensure these roles maintain independence.
I understand that under the Official Information Act, I am entitled to a response within 20 working days of your receipt of this request. If my request is to be denied, in whole or in part, please provide the reasons for the refusal, along with the relevant sections of the Act you are relying on.
