Oral Submission Feedback

Max Coyle made this Official Information request to Hamilton City Council

The request was partially successful.

From: Max Coyle

Dear Hamilton City Council,

On Friday 8th May 2015, Sarah Ward, HCC's Programme Manager - Corporate Planning | Strategy and Research stated: "We have had feedback in the past that the hearings process is very formal and people would like opportunities to share their views with councillors in a less formal setting". In regards to oral submissions, particularly in regards in this instance to the HCC 10 Year Long Term Plan.

I am requesting all instances of feedback given to the Council indicating mass unhappiness with the formal oral submission process, and also any feedback to the contrary.

I look forward to your swift response to this matter considering the pressing timeframes between now and the closing of submissions to the #Ham10YP

Yours faithfully,

Max Coyle

submissions relating to the Long Term Plan, I am now able to provide a
response.

You requested:

"all instances of feedback given to the Council indicating mass

engagement sessions and other opportunities for the public to provide
written feedback to the Long Term Plan.

I can confirm that Hamilton City Council does not hold any information in
respect of either feedback given in respect of mass unhappiness with the
formal oral submission process or feedback to the contrary.

Members of the public that have attended the public sessions have
expressed views both for and against the current consultation process.
Their eedback on the content and the process will be reported back to the
Council at the Meeting on 4 June 2015.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
