New Zealand Transport Agency
Hi Stuart
Thank you for your recent Official Information Act request to the
Transport Agency for ‘all information (reports, studies, memos, and
emails etc) on the proposed works to the intersection of SH1 and SH26’.
Your request is very broad and potentially covers a lot of information,
that spans a number of years – which is likely to take a substantial time
to collate and assess.
I can advise that a report, which covers thoroughly the investigation and
decision making that went into the selection of the final option, was
prepared by the Resolve Group in 2008: ‘Contract no TNZ 2/03-011/501 -
Hillcrest & Morrinsville Road Intersection Improvements Scheme Assessment
Report’.
As we wish to be as helpful as possible to you, I would like to suggest
that your request is refined to focus on this report. If after receiving
the report, you identify particular aspects of the work that you require
further information on, you could then make further specific requests.
Can you please advise at your earliest convenience if this approach is
acceptable to you.
Thank you

Dear Andrew,
Further to my last email, could you also please supply the most recent traffic modelling reports undertaken on the likely impacts of the Hamilton Section of the Waikato Expressway? I'm particularly interested in the forecast impact of the Expressway on traffic demands on the SH1/SH26 intersection.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Donovan
