What happens to adverse events emailed directly to medsafe?

Matthew Shelton made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Matthew Shelton to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Matthew Shelton

Dear Ministry of Health,

Many people have reported emailing their covid jab adverse events directly to Medsafe's email address, rather than using the CARM system, especially in 2021.

What happens to those accounts?
Where are they logged?
What do they show and which public or private, passive or active pharmacovigilance systems are informed by them?

Yours faithfully,

Dr Matthew Shelton

Dear OIA Requests,
Dear Chris,

Thanks for your reply, but there are various email addresses that people have used to send adverse events directly to you, as per the Medsafe online contact page, but which do NOT include the one you have quoted in your reply.

Please reply to my original request, referencing all the available public facing email addresses that people could have used to report AEFIs.

Yours sincerely,

Matthew Shelton
