follows:

 

“[1] Any document (including a manual) that contains policies, principles,
rules, or guidelines in accordance with which decisions or recommendations
are made in respect of any person or body of persons in their personal
capacity regarding OIA requests and how they are handled. I am interested
in any such document that was produced on or after 1 January 2022.”

 

This is a request for the University’s internal decision-making rules
under section 22 of the Official Information Act. The University processes
and responds to Official Information Act requests in accordance with the
Act

We have regard to the resources and publications for agencies provided by
the Office of the Ombudsman in making decisions on requests for official
information: [2]https://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/reso.... The
University has not created documents setting out other policies,
principles, rules, or guidelines for making decisions or recommendations
under the OIA. Your request is refused on the basis that the requested
documents are not held.

Auckland, if such a document exists.”

 

The University does not have a specific Policy for OIA requests – please
note that all policies are publicly available on our website through the
Policy Hub:

In the broader meaning of “policy”, the University’s policy is to comply
with all of its obligations under New Zealand law. The University does not
hold the requested chart. This constitutes a refusal of your request for
official information under section 18(g) of the OIA.

dissatisfied with this response.
