Any stipulated St John Ambulance Funding Conditions
Mari Kennedy made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Mari Kennedy to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Mari Kennedy
Dear Ministry of Health,
I believe you have provided funding to Hato Hone St John (Ambulance Service) - both currently and historically. Would you please confirm (or otherwise) the imposition/stipulation of any condition or conditions of funding that forbids or prohibits St John Ambulance from publicly divulging any statistical data (particularly up-to-date, detailed data [excluding personal patient information, of course]) pertaining to the significantly increased volume of call outs, NZ wide, within the past 12-18 months.
In the interests of total transparency, if any such condition(s) has/have been imposed, please disclose those terms/condition(s) as per the funding agreement between the Ministry and St John. This is particularly relevant and important as St John appear to be manifestly reluctant to share/disclose any up-to-date data relating to the surge in call outs over the past 2 years.
As taxpayers are funding both the Ministry and St John, I am of the view the public have a right to be fully and unambiguously informed.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Mari Kennedy
