USO tracked by Signals Intelligence
N. S. Hudson made this Official Information request to Government Communications Security Bureau
Government Communications Security Bureau did not have the information requested.
From: N. S. Hudson
Dear Government Communications Security Bureau,
May I please get any and all radio and radar information regarding the February/March 1987 Hauraki Gulf exercises involving HMNZS Southland and the unknown submersible object they were out to attract, which also followed and then approached and got beneath the Southland.
Also any and all information that states how often Unidentified Submersible objects are appearing on any form of signals equipment, with the routes that are traced from start to finish of tracking.
Yours faithfully,
N. S. Hudson
