All advice provided to the Minister on Transgender participation in sport. All directions provided by the Minister to Sport NZ regarding the participation of transgender participants in sport. This should include written advice and recollections of discussions between the Ministers and Sport NZ staff.

Thank you for your email of 21 December 2023. We are treating your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). We acknowledge receipt of your OIA, asking for any advice provided to the Minister on transgender participation in sport.

We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 12 February 2024. If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.

Please note that this takes into account the 2023/24 holiday period where there is a three-week period where the days are not counted as 'working days'. You can find out more information about the holiday period on the Ombudsman website: https://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/news...
