Lee M. made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation

The request was partially successful.

From: Lee M.

Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,

Reportedly, the following information was provided by the Accident Compensation Corporation in 2009 in response to an Official Information request (under the 1982 Act);

"Thank you for your request.

You have asked for the following information under the OIA 1982.

"I have had information that Mr Rex Woodhouse, currently a reviewer of ACC complaints employed by Disputes Resolution Service Limited, has also been employed previously by ACC itself. This raises a question of partiality."

Please identify:
(a) Whether he has in fact been previously employed by ACC; (with ACC's response being) Yes, Rex Woodhouse has been previously employed at ACC.

(b) When his employment with ACC began and finished; (with ACC's response being) Began 16/09/2002 Finished 14/06/2007

(c) The capacity in which he was employed by ACC; (with ACC's response being) Rex Woodhouse was employed as a Clinical Advisor in the Treatment Injury Centre (prior to this was called the Medical Misadventure Unit) for part of his time with ACC. His core role is Advisory Officer and Clinical Advisor in this Centre entailed him assessing claims using the medical misadventure and later the treatment injury legislation.

(d) How his transfer to DRSL occurred; (with ACC's response being) Rex Woodhouse resigned from ACC as he had applied for a position with DRSL and was successful in getting the position.

Regards."

My questions today are:

(a) Whether all of the abovementioned answers to the abovementioned OIA request back in 2009 are true?

(b) If any or all of the abovementioned answers to the abovementioned OIA request back in 2009 are not true, then;

(b)(i) Has Rex Woodhouse ever been employed by the Accident Compensation Corporation?
(b)(ii) If Rex Woodhouse has ever been employed by the Accident Compensation Corporation, and if the abovementioned dates are not correct, then what were his start and end dates of employment with the Accident Compensation Corporation?
(b)(iiI) If Rex Woodhouse has ever been employed by the Accident Compensation Corporation, and if he was not employed in the abovementioned capacity and role/s, then what capacity was he employed in and what were his role/s?
(b)(iv) If Rex Woodhouse has ever been employed by the Accident Compensation Corporation, and if he was not transferred to DRSL which is now called Fairway Resolution Limited, how did he get to be appointed at DRSL / Fairway Resolution Limited?

I am specifically requesting an urgent response to this information request as I needing the information for urgent legal action against Fairway Resolution Limited.

Yours faithfully,

Lee M.
