Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
Tauranga City Council successfully applied for an authorisation from Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to access current names and addresses in the Motor Vehicle Register.
Application for access was made under section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998. Waka Kotahi consults with the Ombudsman, Privacy Commissioner and Police Commissioner (our advising agencies) before NZTA decided to grant an authorisation.
Please advised what specific purpose was granted and what subject to any conditions specified by Waka Kotahi TCC application was granted for use. Ie parking infringements etc
Please advise if Tauranga City Council are permitted used information to check on any motor vehicles owner details when using a Tauranga City Council road road lawfully, ie while not parking or driving in restricted roads
