Dear Ministry of Defence,

I request under the Official Information Act all relevant information on steps taken, including plans, programmes and reports, by the Ministry of Defence to implement the recommendations of its Pay and Employment Equity Response plan, including the original response plan.

Further, I also request all relevant information on steps taken since June 2012 to address gender disparities in starting salaries and the overall gender pay gap in the Ministry.

I made a request under the official information act to the Ministry on February 10 this year, specifically relating to the work undertaken by the Ministry on Pay and Employment Equity issues.

I still have not received a response over 6 months after I sent the request; by law, under all circumstances, you should have responded by now.

I ask that you follow up on the original request as soon as possible.

The request is as follows:
