Geoff Brewer made this Official Information request to Auckland Council
The request was successful.
      From: Geoff Brewer

    Good morning,
I'm interested in the gender pay gap within Auckland Council. I would like to request (under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act) the distribution of salaries disaggregated by pay band, department, ethnicity and gender. If the full distribution is unavailable, please provide me the median and mean salary disaggregated by pay band, department, ethnicity and gender.
With thanks,
Geoff Brewer

    Dear Geoff

I refer to your official information request regarding any gender pay gap
 at Auckland Council.

Unfortunately we will not be able to communicate a decision to you within
the initial 20 working days.  Under sections 14 (1) (b) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, Auckland Council is
extending the time limit for responding to your request. We will reply to
your request by 4 September 2020. Please note this is a maximum response
time and we will endeavour to respond sooner.

The reason for this extension are:

14 (1) (b)
Consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request can not reasonably be made within the
 original time limit.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602. If you wish to
discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this decision,
please feel free to contact me.
