Treasury uses MailChimp platform to manage subscription services to its Guest Lecture Series. The seminars are by definition open to everybody, including European Union citizens, where General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are a legal requirement.
It is part of MailChimp requirement that all subscribers are made aware of how their personal data will be stored and shared and as such it is also part of Treasury's requirement, even though it’s not part of New Zealand regulation.
Please provide a copy of the contractual agreement between Treasury and MailChimp, and any other relevant information you may deem necessary to give.
