Mokoroa Falls Track and Road
Penny Sparks made this Official Information request to Department of Conservation
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Penny Sparks to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Penny Sparks
Kia Ora Department of Conservation,
Mokoroa Falls Track in the Waitakere's appears to be almost entirely on legal public unformed road space. Yet the track is marked as closed on your website.
Has the road been formally closed? If the road is not closed, eg open, can we walk on the legal paper road id 5230270. When the track is on the road then isn't the track simply formed roadspace.

Dear Department of Conservation,
Thank you for your response.
You say ""On 4 December 2020, Goldie Bush, including the tracks through the two reserves, was formally closed by the Department pursuant to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977. Notices of this
closure were published in local and national newspapers. " "
Can you please give a full list of where this was published please. Where may i view the formal notice of closure. Can you please provide a link to it.
I can find an informal press release on your site. But it does not give the section/clause of the reserves act which has closed Goldies Bush. If it is not in the formal notice, can you please provide the document which shows which specific part of the law, under the reserves act was used to close the Bush.
Yours faithfully,
Penny
