whaea kat made this Official Information request to Plimmerton School

The request was partially successful.

From: whaea kat

Dear Plimmerton School,

Kia ora
I would like to request a copy of all the kura whānau and community responses that were submitted via a google form to this survey (closing date 9 july). As a community member who submitted a reply I have  not seen any action or response or a follow up community hui as was indicated.

Yours faithfully,

Whaea Kat

Kia Ora Whaea Kat,
I'm just following up on your email from Thursday, 19 October re: "Te Kura
o Taupō Plimmerton Kura Strategic Plan Development.
The BOT has another meeting this week to discuss the community feedback
and put them into overarching goals for our kura. I'm sorry nobody has
reached out to you in relation to feedback. After the BOT meeting this
week, I will know how/when or if they will have another community hui.
Would you like to come in and meet to discuss the purpose, our goals and
our plans moving forward? I met with three community members in the
holidays just gone so happy to meet with you also if you would like to.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for your offer of a hui but I would actually just like the information as requested. Yes I am currently in Aotearoa and would not know about this plan if I was not a local. I fall under a, b and c

I also think it is shocking that my google review of the kura has been taken down after I submitted this request.
"Nāwai ka hē, kātahi ka hē kē atu (going from bad to worse).
Bex Galloway's observations are whakamataku (frightening) "Following implementation the board could expect to see impacts on data for (the then) Year 1's at Year 8." Kore kupu (there are no words)."

Kia Ora,
There was no Google form or survey sent to our community for  "Te Kura o
Taupō Plimmerton Kura Strategic Plan Development".
A three-page information pack was sent home and included a one-page
section to add feedback. These were sent home and asked to be returned to
the school office.
In term 3, a community hui for whanau was advertised and offered. At this
hui whanau were able to offer feedback, seek clarification and/or share
ideas with BOT members.
The BOT sub-committee worked together to summarise any feedback that would
enable them to create community goals for our ākonga. The kaiko then set
about creating an implementation plan of how they could deliver on the
2-year goals.
This document has gone back and forth with the BOT, kaiako and Hongoeka
Marae to seek feedback and make modifications.
At the Week 8, Term 4 BOT meeting, the Strategic Plan was present and
accepted to take back one final time to kaimahi (workers). It will then be
shared with the community alongside the letter from our BOT outlining how
the goals were put together and what information our community wanted to
see reflected in our Strategic Vision.
As always, the offer to have a korereo is welcomed.

Dear Chris Steffensen,

You have failed to supply the information requested yet AGAIN. You failed to add all the comments submitted to you as part of the consultation. You can not just take the information you want to make it suit your wants. You don't think you get to decide what is classed as ill informed. I asked for all of the google replys not a compiled report of SOME of the forms given. A lot of the information is repeated several times over several pages and others is missing.

Yours sincerely,

whaea kat

Hi.

There is a large amount of information in the survey completed as a Google form so the only way to give you that information is to copy each row and paste it into a document which I have done.

I can assure you that is all of the replies collated into one document. There are some minor pieces redacted as to not identify particular individuals to avoid prejudice (section 9 OIA).

There is repetition of answers in one section due to the nature of the question which asks to tick the items they agree with.

As all the information has now been given to you I will not be responding to further requests for information on this matter.

As outlined in every email I am happy to discuss the results of the survey and how we plan to action the communities feedback in person.

Please phone our office to make an appointment.
