My patients have been declined their right to funded lab tests requested by me.

Tessa Jones made this Official Information request to Health New Zealand

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Tessa Jones to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Tessa Jones

Dear Health New Zealand,
I have been told by a pathologist that I am on a list of doctors held by Pathlab in the MidCentral DHB whose patients are considered ineligible for funded lab tests because we work with integrative medicine, sometimes called natural, complimentary or holistic medicine. I hold an APC and my patients are eligible for funding elsewhere in the country. I request all information relating to this list: who has compiled the list, which other doctors are on the list and the minutes of any meetings that have been help relating to this list of doctors.
I have 3 post graduate fellowships: one in General Practice, one in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and one in Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.
Yours sincerely
Tessa Jones MBChB, DipObs, FRNZCGP, FACNEM, FABAARM
