Dear Government Services,
Thank you for your response. Please provide me with a response from your head of IT explaining why it is not possible for the public to have access to this information. For instance, why the information is not held on the internet and publicly accessible, or why it is necessary for ACC to keep the process and manual documents in a manner that is not transparent and only accessible by employees using a password.
Yours sincerely,
AS Van Wey

Under the Act, a distinction exists between a request for information
already known and held by an agency (official information), versus a
request for an agency to form an opinion or provide an explanation or
comment, and thus create new information to answer a request (not official
information). As you have asked for an explanation, this is not considered
a request for official information, and we are not required to respond to
such requests under the Act.
However, we can advise that we are currently in the process of publishing
our policies and you can access them on the ACC website
here: [1]www.acc.co.nz/resources/#/. When uploaded, each policy group has
its own 'subcategory'. To find the policies you are interested in, go to
the 'Policies and procedures' category and then pick the
relevant subcategory you would like to look at.
