Master fleet list
Connor Johnson made this Official Information request to KiwiRail
The request was successful.
From: Connor Johnson
Dear KiwiRail,
I would like the Master fleet of all trains/locomotives owned by KIWIRAIL. I would also like you to include the Callsign of each vehicle.
You are required to present my request in the format I choose unless you can reasonably justify not doing that. I request this is presented in an excel file.
Yours faithfully,
Connor Johnson

Dear Dave Allard,
Today is the 11th of October, without sounding too needy on my hand when can I expect a response or an extension request. I’m perfectly ok if an extension is needed. I’m just used to agencies sometimes forgetting to click send when it comes to posting the responses.
Yours sincerely,
Connor Johnson

Apologies Connor, I'm still waiting on the data from the rolling stock team, but haven't forgotten your request.
I chased them up last week - so should have this through for you asap.
Cheers
Dave

Dear Dave Allard,
It is now 25 working days (35 days) Since my OIA was due, when can I expect a response?
Just reminding you it is your legal obligation Under Section 15(1) of The Offical Information Act which states “ as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any case not later than 20 working days after the day on which the request is received by that department or venture or Minister of the Crown or organisation” furthermore you were legally obligated to tell me you could not meet the required deadline before the 20 days is up.
This is established in Section 15A
3) The extension shall be effected by giving or posting notice of the extension to the person who made the request within 20 working days after the day on which the request is received.
(4)
The notice effecting the extension shall—
(a)
specify the period of the extension; and
(b)
give the reasons for the extension
This clearly states you were required to either give me the information or a reason why it would be delayed BEFORE the 20 days is up and supply an estimated time for completion.
So to consolidate this into one question, When can I expect my oia to be answered?
Yours sincerely,
Connor Johnson

Dear Dave Allard,
No problem that’s quite alright, just out of interest what’s the difference between the locomotives highlighted in yellow on page 2 vs the white boxed locomotives on sheet 1 of the fleet list?
Yours sincerely,
Connor Johnson

Sorry, had meant to include that, page one is mainline locomotives, page two are our shunts.
