Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) on 23 August 2023:

 

Under the OIA please detail how many retailers have been fined for selling
vapes to an underage person and the dates of prosecution. Please detail
how many individuals have been fined for selling vapes to an underage
person and the dates of prosecution. Please detail how many enforcement
officers are currently enforcing vaping regulations and requirements?
Please detail the number of enforcement officers that specifically deal
with enforcing vaping regulations and requirements by year from  2017
through to July 2023 ( which will be a half year number to date)

 

Manatū Hauora has decided to extend the due date for responding to your
request pursuant to section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, where consultations
necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper
response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit.

 

You can now expect a response on, or before 4 October 2023.
