Dear Christchurch International Airport Limited,

On your Central Otago website you claim that “The aviation industry accounts for 2% of New Zealand’s emissions and is taking urgent action to address climate change through decarbonisation.” This number has been confirmed by scientists and in the media to be much higher in New Zealand.

Please provide details of the documentation, research and data you are using to claim it’s 2%.

Could I also have copies of all correspondence, notes etc in the last 24 months where aviation emissions are discussed as being anything other than 2%?
