Dear OIA Enquiries,
Im writing again to clarify my request as you seem to have taken it upon yourself to change the terms of my request. Im making an official information request for ALL communications. Not just those relating to voter and enrollment information.
Im requesting all communications Between the electoral commision or any of its representatives and the MP for taiere, ingrid leary. In her role as mp or any other role she holds. Also any communications between the electoral commision and any representative of the mongrel mob such as harry tam.
From between january 1st 2023 until 15th october 2023.
Yours sincerely,
Jaan ingenbleek
From: OIA Enquiries
Kia ora Jaan
To clarify, the only other correspondence between the parties, during the timeframe requested is advisory opinion requests from MP Ingrid Leary's office.
During the period from the date of an advisory opinion request and the day after the return of the writ for the general election the Electoral Commission must treat as confidential, any request and supporting material and any advisory opinion advice provided to the requester (section 204I of the Electoral Act 1993). This provision overrides the Official Information Act 1982 and the Privacy Act 2020. For this reason, this correspondence is refused under section 18(c) because making the information requested available would be contrary to the provisions of an enactment.
