available in a city's public library, and I wanted to ask the following

New Zealand schools are self-governing through their boards. School boards
receive government funding and are responsible for making decisions about
how best to use this to meet their curriculum priorities. Schools can
choose resources that they feel best meets the needs of their learners,
and this includes books they may have in their school library. When
choosing books for their library, we know that many schools opt for a
range of texts that reflect Aotearoa's unique context, and are
representative of our diverse communities.

 

The Ministry does not make recommendations or approve books that are in
school libraries. We have not received any suggestions for this book to be
included in school libraries, nor has this book been incorporated into any
aspect of The New Zealand Curriculum by the Ministry.
