Hi all
I was curious to know if the fully vax are more sick than normal and did a basic OIA to determine wheter this should be investigated. Medical staff is a good test group as they have the strictest mandates.
To keep in mind:
hospitals could be under staff from 2021 and 2022 due to mandates. It would be hard to keep track of total staff number but lets assume its less for 2022/2023
if you test positive you must isolate for 7 days so that will increase the leave hours.
year dates are from 1 July to 30 June so for 2023 there is a few month left. Maybe count 3 months so 460,421 is 9/12 of 2022/2023 so projected to be 613,894 by end of June 2023. t. This will be almost a 100% increase if my calculation is correct compared to the 2019/2020 year. I don't know what is a normal shift. Lets say it is 8 hours then it will mean around 19000 days more sick leave just for Capital and coast compare to 2019/2020
I think this needs further investigation.
