Briefings and reports received as Minister of Defence regarding attrition and pay for NZDF staff

Paul made this Official Information request to Peeni Henare

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Paul to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Paul

Dear Peeni Henare,

I would like request for a list of all briefings and reports regarding attrition, pay, and employment conditions for both military and civilian staff that the Minister Henare has received from NZDF and the Ministry of Defence for the duration of his time holding the Minister of Defence portfolio, including;

1) The title of the briefing
2) The date received
3) The agency of origin (NZDF or MoD)
4) The reference number

Of particular interest is the brief referenced in the media (“Defence Force Says Poor Pay Is Driving Attrition,” 2022) that Minister Henare received from NZDF's chief people officer Brigadier Matt Weston around 07 March 2022. Any related reports from other entities, such as the originator of the data, which informed this brief would also be appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Pablo
