Kia ora P McKenna,

It appears that your original request (outlined below) will need to be
clarified or amended to enable us to respond. Please note, any
clarification or amendment of a request is considered to be a new request
for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory timeframe for
response¡ªsee section 15(1AA) of the Official Information Act.

Your request is as follows:

1. ¡°Please supply the Raw numbers of hospital admissions for each AESI
accessed in that study that were recorded for the period of 3 weeks
following each dose.
2. Please supply the number of hospital admissions of each AESI for the
period of one year following dose 2.
3. Please supply the number of all hospital admissions for each AESI for
the period 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021
4. Please supply the unpublished December 2021, Auckland University study
titled Background rates of adverse events of special interest (AESIs) for
COVID-19 vaccination by Petousis-Harris H.P., J. Zhao,et al. entitled:
Background rates of adverse events of special interest (AESIs) for
COVID-19 vaccination.¡±

Please note, to ensure we are able to answer your request and avoid
refusing, we must narrow the scope we¡¯re looking at. The team responsible
for collating the relevant information to your request has asked for the
following clarification:

2. Please supply the number of hospital admissions of each AESI for the
period of one year following dose 2.
Please note that each individual received a second dose at different
periods of time. Therefore, there will be endless combinations
(¡Ýmillion), are you happy to have this provided with a period of one year
from the start date?

Please provide your clarification as soon as possible. If we do not hear
back from you by 2 March, then we will proceed based on the information we
have available.

possible.

We are happy to answer your questions

Please contact us at: [1][email address] if you would like to talk

Hi Victor
All good questions. I have OIA'd for the other hospitalisation data. Feel free to OIA for the reasons why they missed them out... I think we can appreciate why.
