- Any and all memos formal & informal, email, correspondence, input
involved, reports and recommendations associated with the closure of the
Marsden Refinery specifically associated with Bitumen - correspondence to
include National Security, Costs for Bitumen, correspondence with the
Minister - I am specifically after all the input associated with Bitumen
and the Marsden refinery

- If the Transport Agency did not have input please let me know why

- Costs of bitumen from 2016 and onwards per month that the Transport
Agency paid up until todays date

- Please provide the date Marsden refinery

 As it is currently worded, the second half of your request in relation to
the Marsden Point Refinery and bitumen, is very broad in scope and has no
defined timeframe. An initial assessment of your request indicates that a
very large number of items would potentially fall within the scope of your
request. To fulfil your request as it is currently framed will involve a
substantial manual research and collation task and would likely need to be
refused under section 18(f) of the Act.

 

In order for us to process your request we seek further clarification of
your request, particularly in relation to your request for correspondence
and documents, and your final request which appears to be incomplete. In
order to assist us with responding to your request, we are requesting that
you:

o Clarify the timeframe you are interested in, e.g. 6-months, one year,
or two years. For context, the closure was voted upon by Refining NZ
shareholders in August 2021.
o Excluding certain types of documents or communications, e.g. those
that are administrative in nature.
o Detail for your final bullet point, to enable us to answer it.

 

We look forward to your response and working with you to facilitate your
request.

 

While we process the remainder of your request, we would like to make you
