Monitoring of Citizenship Processing Delays
John made this Official Information request to Public Service Commission
The request was partially successful.
From: John
Dear Public Service Commission,
1) Did PSC reach out to DIA’s Citizenship Offie to understand, query, or monitor the performance of the processing of Citizenship By Grant Applications regarding its huge delays?
2) If there is any, can you please provide any communications, e-mails and etc from PSC requesting information regarding the delays of Citizenship by Grant applications?
3) If it hasn’t been considered, could you please provide the reason PSC didn’t manage to question DIA regarding the Citizenship by Grant application processing delays and offer support and/or guidance?
Thanks.
Yours faithfully,
John

Dear PSC,
I would like to request another OIA based on your response.
- Is PSC current monitoring Immigration NZ’s performance? Yes or No.
- If yes, why it was decided by PSC to care about people that are outside New Zealand and not residents that paying their taxes and are waiting a long time for the citizenship applications to be processed?
- What can a taxpayer do to request PSC to take interest in a public service department towards its performance to avoid further damage to the public wellbeing and mental health?
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
John
