From: Wayne Liu
Dear Auckland Transport,
Many locals including me have noticed the installation of the new “speed check cameras” along the southbound lane on Albany highway.
However, there was little information given regarding how they operate especially if they are for the purpose of ticketing speeding drivers, or/and, just as we’ve read the news, counting people who broke the speed limit and other laws such as using their phone or no seatbelt.
Yours faithfully,
Wayne

Dear AT Official Information (AT),
My question is whether those speed check cameras will capture speeding drivers and ticket them. Also, do they also check driver’s seatbelt status and mobile phone using problem as I’ve read in the news.
Yours sincerely,
Wayne Liu

Dear AT Official Information (AT),
Thank you for the information. Just wanting to enquire about one last thing. Are those speed check cameras owned by AT? If yes could you please reveal all functions of those cameras that are related with/controlled by AT (seatbelt? mobile phone usage?). If those cameras are not owned by AT, then I have no further questions to AT and will make my inquiry to the NZ Police instead.
Yours sincerely,
Wayne Liu
