MFAT communications around Arie Scher
Ali Anwar made this Official Information request to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade did not have the information requested.
From: Ali Anwar
Dear MFAT,
In 2005, after the exposure of zionist operations to steal identities of New Zealand and Australian citizens to use in zionist assassination operations, the zionist consul to Australia, Amir Laty, was expelled.
The zionist entity attempted to replace him with an Arie Scher, who had previously fled from Brazil after he came under investigation by Brazilian Federal Police for organizing 'sex parties' where underage Brazilian children were fed drugs and preyed on by 'Israeli' tourists.
Given the connection between the zionist crimes against both Australia and New Zealand at this point of time, I am seeking all MFAT communications, including emails internally within MFAT and with the Australian government, between 1 January 2004, and 31 December 2006, regarding either 'Arie Scher' or 'Aryeh Scher', the two most common transliterations of his name.
Cheers,
Ali

I am writing concerning your OIA request below. This email is to advise
that we will need to extend the time limit for responding to you by 20
working days, to 8 August 2022. This is because responding to your request
necessitates review of a large quantity of information, and meeting the
original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of
the Ministry (section 15A(1)(a) of the OIA refers). Please note that at
this stage we have been unable to locate any information in scope of your
request.
If our searches are completed before 8 August 2022, the response will be
sent to you as soon as possible.
Please also be advised that the organisational impacts of implementing the
COVID-19 Protection Framework, together with the Ministry’s leadership of
the Government's response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, mean that we
may have reduced capacity to process OIA requests. We will do our best to
make decisions on your OIA request as soon as practicably possible, and to
keep you informed of progress if there are likely to be delays.
For your information, the Chief Ombudsman has published updated guidance
on OIA requests during this time:
