Maungaraki Community Association lease of Maungaraki Community Centre profit share
Max Shierlaw made this Official Information request to Hutt City Council
The request was successful.
From: Max Shierlaw
Dear Hutt City Council,
The lease entered into by the Hutt City Council with the Maungaraki Community Association for the Maungaraki Community Centre stipulates that 50% of the profit made by the Association each year must be paid to the Council. This is understandable as the Association gets all the hall rental, but the Council pays most of the maintenance/upgrade costs of the Community Centre.
Could you please advise how much the Association has paid to the Council for each of the past ten years under this provision of the lease? Please also forward me all correspondence the Council has had over the past ten years with the Association on the particular matter.
Yours faithfully,
Max Shierlaw
