Jobs for Nature Funding - Porirua Riparian Planting

Brian Warburton made this Official Information request to Ministry for the Environment

The request was successful.

From: Brian Warburton

Dear Ministry for the Environment,

On 7 April 2022 Minister Parker announced central government funding would be given to a project to undertake restoration riparian planting in Porirua (https://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/AK2204/S...).

According to the press release (http://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/jobs-...) this funding would amount to $3m and be provided under the Government's 'Jobs for Nature' propramme.

This central government funding would supplement funding from Porirua City Council ($4.8M) along with some unspecified financial contribution from Sustainable Coastlines.

In this regard, please provide me with a copy of the application made to, and approved by the Ministry, for funding which I presume was prepared and submitted by Porirua City Council.

Thanks

Yours faithfully,

Brian Warburton
