Dear Andrew,

I refer to your request of 4 April 2022. The University’s response
follows.

The information requested is provided in the attached, with the following
exceptions:

“(4) Lowest core GPA for successful FY international applicants for each
program (BPharm…)”

“(7) Lowest MMI score for successful FY international applicants for each
program (BPharm…)”

Due to the low number of successful* FY international applicants for the
BPharm in 2020 (6) and 2021 (5), it is necessary to withhold the
information requested about the applicant with the lowest GPA score and
the lowest MMI score under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA to protect their
privacy.

*”Successful” means the applicant received an offer of place.

“(5) Highest core GPA for unsuccessful FY international applicants for
each program (BPharm…)”
“(8) Highest MMI score for unsuccessful FY international applicants for
each program (BPharm…)”

Due to the low number of unsuccessful** FY international applicants for
the BPharm in 2020 (5), 2021 (4), and 2022 (2), it is necessary to
withhold the information requested about the applicant with the highest
GPA score and the highest MMI score under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA to
protect their privacy.

**”Unsuccessful” means the applicant was interviewed but did not receive
an offer of place.

“(4) Lowest core GPA for successful FY international applicants for each
program (…BOptom)”

“(7) Lowest MMI score for successful FY international applicants for each
program (…BOptom)”

Due to the low number of successful FY international applicants for the
BOptom in 2020 (5), 2021 (3), and 2022 (4) it is necessary to withhold the
information requested about the applicant with the lowest GPA score and
the lowest MMI score under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA to protect their
privacy.

“(5) Highest core GPA for unsuccessful FY international applicants for
each program (…BOptom)”
“(8) Highest MMI score for unsuccessful FY international applicants for
each program (…BOptom)”

Due to the low number of unsuccessful FY international applicants for the
BOptom in 2020 (5), 2021 (4), and 2022 (2) it is necessary to withhold the
information requested about the applicant with the highest GPA score and
the highest MMI score under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA to protect their
privacy.

To avoid doubt, as stated on the University’s website, interview core GPA
for these programmes includes a placeholder grade of A+ for courses that
do not have final grades available at the time of interview ranking. This
means that a student’s core GPA as used for final selection ranking will
be lower than their interview core GPA unless they achieve a final grade
of A+ in all courses which did not have final grades available at the time
of interview ranking.

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with this response.

Yours sincerely,

Rebecca Ewert
