Subject: Official Information request - Pharmacology, biomedical science
or medicinal chemistry major?

 

Dear University of Auckland,

I'm planning to start my study at the University of Auckland next year in
2023, and I'm just wondering about the main difference between
pharmacology, biomedical science & medicinal chemistry major in the
Science degree.
-the difference places I could be working at if I'm willing to complete
PHD
-whether the job opportunity is bad/ average/ good/ great (and is there
job opportunity available in many cities?)
-the average salary I could possibly start with once I've just completed
my PHD.

(sorry, I know some of the question are quite hard to be answered, but
please help me to answer these questions as I really love the idea of
entering the science research field but my parents are concerned about
whether that will lead me to a good future. Many thanks)
