Bullying and harassment leavers

Tony made this Official Information request to Reserve Bank of New Zealand

The request was successful.

From: Tony

Dear Reserve Bank of New Zealand,

I am undertaking research into workplace behaviour and I would like the following information…

The number of people who have resigned from your organisation between 1 January 2021 and today.

Of those who resigned, the number who stated that they were a victim of bullying or harassment, or said they observed bullying or harassment. For example, they may have said it in the leaving survey/interview.

I would like the above information broken down per area/function if you have it.

I am requesting it under the OIA.

Yours faithfully,

Tony

Dear Tony

Thank you for your official information request of 27 March 2022 for the
following information:

“The number of people who have resigned from your organisation between 1
January 2021 and today.

Of those who resigned, the number who stated that they were a victim of
bullying or harassment, or said they observed bullying or harassment. For
example, they may have said it in the leaving survey/interview.

I would like the above information broken down per area/function if you

will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.

Charges for providing official information and publishing responses

The Official Information Act allows charges to be imposed for the
preparation of information that we send in response to requests. The
Reserve Bank is resourced to meet disclosure obligations for a reasonable
level of requests. Where the request is for information that requires
substantial collation, research and preparation work, and is chargeable,
we will work with you first to refine the request to a smaller scale or
scope that is less likely to involve charges.

Responses to official information requests are published on the Reserve
Bank’s website. We will confirm in our decision letter to you whether we
intend to publish our response to your request.

Further information about charges and publishing responses is available on
our website at

Good morning Tony

This morning I sent our OIA response to you on behalf of Ruth Duncan who
is on leave and I in advertently sent a word copy of the document rather
than a pdf copy.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would delete the word version and
refer to the pdf version instead. I ask this is because the document
contains Ruth’s signature and I do not want it to be disseminated any
further.

Could you kindly confirm for me if you will do this for us.

I apologies for my error.

Kind regards

Adrienne
